I just got Nikon D70. Uncompressed format files are recorded in NEF (Nikon Electronic Image Format)which can be viewed only by just some software i.e. PictureProject and Nikon Capture. Is there anyway I can make it in PhotoShop?

Yes, you may have to get a PS plug in...I think mine was automaticly added when I installed the Nikon Capture4 software. Heres a like to Adobe it might help.

| You can hit the "Open with Photoshop" icon in Nikon Editor and the RAW file will be transformed to TIFF and opened in Photoshop. |

Irfanview is a great free program that will open Raw images as well as provide Thumbnail images of the Raw Images.
Additionally there is a plugin that allows you to open the Raw files in their full glory and a guide to the plugin install is availiable here

if you have photoshop CS, then the camera raw plugin is already there, and it'll work. if you have an older version of photoshop, you have to install the plugin.

DCraw was already mentioned, but it has an excellent GIMP plugin (also free) which allows you to view your tweaking in real-time. I'm really impressed with how much it can do.
