Just saw this thread and enjoyed reading it! Love the way you handled the whole thing. Good luck and can't wait to see your shots from this new adventure!

UPDATE: This gig ended last month after taking over 6000 food photos of around 400 recipes and consuming MASS quantities of (it's ok, it's low-carb) food. Now he has a stockpile of recipe photos to get him through the year and into the next. It was exhausting (and FILLING) most of the time for both of us, but overall it was fun and I got a couple real estate side gigs from it via his building manager who joined us for eating on occasion. His 86 year old grandmother also joined us several times - super lovely lady. He even put her to work a few times.

Overall a great experience. The money wasn't great, but it was steady for the ten months. If anyone's interested, I dumped a BUNCH of the final shots in my portfolio here.

On to new and better (??!) things. Thank you for all your help & support.

Great job on those food shots Art! Do you still want to even look at food again. I mean after 6000 shots. WOAH!

I'm not sure I really want to see your "men in underwear" shots but I wish you the best and I'm sure you'll give them your usual top notch work.

If your pics are for a book, I'll buy it. You sold the book.

PS. I thought that when shooting food a lot of goo and glue and jello and vaseline is used but you said that you ate the food? Probably in the cooking phase not after the shooting.
