Great news Ken. Can't wait to see some of the work from the shoots, and you still have several weeks to use your pro shots in the feast "speed challenge!"

So I just got word that he has offered the position to another photographer. He said I was a very close second choice out of the 4 that he interviewed and "auditioned" and he said she really knew what she was doing (I was winging it and that probably showed. LOL). She is a very accomplished photog, so he would be stupid not to offer her the gig. He is waiting to hear back from her, so there's still a chance she'll decline anyway.
In any case, I did get the portrait deal (shooting tomorrow night), and ended up with some decent food shots for my portfolio. All in all, I am pretty chuffed (I think that's what our UK friends say) that I came in second with zero food shots to show him initially and with such talented competition.

| Hey, I missed all this. Frankly, it's hard for me to imagine a shooter as accomplished and experienced as that gal taking this on for fifty bucks a shoot, so you may still be in the running, if she tries to jack him on price. Go, Art, GO! |
