Well after some carful research I decided to buy a Nikon D70. Seems to be a pretty good camera. If anyone has one let me know what you think. I should be recieving mine this week. I have been using a point and shoot for the contests I have entered. A fuji A303 to be excact. This should be a little bit of an upgrade.

I´m trying to save some money to get one too. It's not cheap but it is worth it. Show os your first shots when you have it.

good advice...read the Owners Manual a few times. Answers alot of questions you will have. The best time for this is while the battery charges when ya get it. A frustration time, but worth it. Have fun.
Still cont to look up stuff in mine and "remember" the settings I want and need.

Congrats...I'm sure you'll love it. I love mine and I had to wait over a month for it to arrive. I highly recommend getting the Nikon Capture4 software it works great and cost me about $130. My only complaint was the flash so I actually just picked up the SB-600 today and WOW what a difference. One of my test shots inspired a pic for "Hope" I can’t wait to see if I can make it work.

Good Luck and have fun with it.

Congrats.

It takes about two hours for the battery to get fully charged. If you want to use the camera straight out of the box, I suggest you buy three CR2 Lithium battery-cells (the camera comes with a battery-holder for them).
