pretty much...

actually i enjoy political debate, its one of the reasons i like it here, i generally find most people here to be engaging and intelligent, my views dont always agree with others and my opinions are ever changing, its always good to here someone else's opinion, as I may be misguided in my reasoning.

We need more greed in this country. For some reason being rich has become a bad thing.

I'm not sure the majority of people think being rich is a bad thing. I think they think rich people paying a lower percentage of their income in taxes than the folks in the middle is not fair.

I just found it, thx. Now whos going to check the numbers? :-) Too bad, was a funny correlation. Of course, the first thing I did after your post was to go back in the thread to figure out whether you're an R or a D.

... ETA, yup. looks like a match. Thanks for that, though!

Watch out and report any voting anomalies.

From a post on George Takei's FB page:

If you experience an anomaly (such as this) please call a voter hotline such as 1-855-444-6100. Bring your camera phone and document the problem.

LOL, one of the comments on that video: "I believe the US should not use machines to cast votes! Stick with our system here in Canada, pine cones and pieces of birch bark!" ... It's funny because it's so close to true!

i never said that. i am always willing to contribute more to the tax system when asked to do so if its worthwhile, i always vote yes for my local taxes to increase improve schools and infrastructure. the reason being is that the state and federal system are so screwed up i have to take on an extra burden locally, but i understand thats where we are.

that said, when nearly half the country doesn't pay any federal taxes, I'd like to see more of them contribute as to opposed to myself and the the really rich continuing to prop up the system with a higher burden.

i stated earlier we need more taxpayers, not higher taxes.

this robin hood mentality we have has to go away.

i have a slightly different method of approach for voting. I'd vote for the person i think lies the least. I think theres a very clear winner in that respect. I like the idea of a trustworthy president, who is not stuck in his/her ways, but is also not changing his/her stance on every issue to appease a particular audience. There is always an interesting debate on policy, but all relevance of that is lost when you can't trust the mans'(or womans') word.

Vote! if you can~!

The map was easy for me to believe. I was hoping Snopes would have a map with the actual IQ's.

Q: How can you tell if a politician is lying?

A: Their lips are moving.

Interesting polls here: //elections.nytimes.com/2012/swing-state-polls

Check out the question: If [Mitt Romney/Barack Obama] ]is elected, do you think the policies of his administration will favor one group or treat all the same?

they should favor the rich. All policies should favor the rich. why should we be rewarding any or all the qualities that make one poor?

poor folks should be striving to not be poor, not accepting that fact that they are and especially not waiting for the government to bail them out.

right, i forgot, its not ok to look down upon those less fortunate. i shouldn't say that.

this country was founded on hard work and ambition and was built strong by those striving for better, yet we continue to reward lack of effort.

people have decided to take the easy route to getting what that dont earn, and they encourage politics that maintain that.

Cancer suffers shouldn't accept their fate and they should strive to stay alive, most of them do just this but unfortunately as we know not all make it.
Do you really think it is possible for everybody to be rich? surely you're not that naive.
