I have a D70 with SB800 flash and wanted to experiment with using the SB800 as a remote.

The manuals are pretty unintelligable, but I thought I had it right when I set the camera to master and the flash to remote.The camera end seems to be working OK - it flashes what appear to be signals bcause they don't expose the picture, but the SB800 end, which I have set to remote, doesn't fire. Any clues what I'm doing wrong?

The SB800 needs to be set to remote, on channel 3 and group A. That's what mine is set to. I think the channel 3 is the biggie.
