My first challenge and a relative newbie to DPC. I been prowling and voting for a while and not posting any images in challenges as a result of an inferiority complex I suppose...
Anyway, I am quite pleased (I think) that my stats indicate:
Votes: 61
Views: 130
Avg Vote: 7.3934
I must admit I am finding it quite addictive being able to get a running update on the voting, sometimes uplifting and sometimes disappointing. Also some comments are encouraging and helpful and some are incorrect assumptions so I am glad that they are not made public during voting.
Anyway, holding thumbs for a good result to my first submission

Thank you so much for the encouragement and welcome. I am wary of commenting on certain aspects or replying to messages on an image as I would hate to be DQ'ed. Am I being paranoid or may I engage in diuscussions?

As long as you don't say anything that could potentially identify the image in any way.
Replying to PM's is fine, replying to comments on the image is frowned upon, but not grounds for a DQ.
So, don't tell us anything about your photo that might describe it, but feel free to chat it up about the shot otherwise. |

| Just dipped below 6 for the first time since about vote 20 or so. Oh well, it was in that tenuous 6.100-6.000 range and I figured it would end in a tiny violin. Will probably drop a little more and end in the 5.85-5.95 range. |
