Here is a link to my retooled submission for the open challenge. I went with two revised views. Now if only I had some filters to tone down the reflection.

Thanks. I liked that one better too.

I would like to see more people post revised photos. I think it would help us all to learn better methods.

Wow, that really shows what a difference a crop makes! I liked the first shot, but I love the second...

My revisions are actually OutTakes. My wife kept saying, "don''t use the one with the blurred arm". Every other comment was "Nice shot, but the blurred arm killed you". I almost accused her of creating 15 login names and leaving them all till I saw the names last night. I guess I need to start listening to her... Hmmm, I have some lightbilbs to change... brb

A friend of mine who also uses this site pointed me to something that you demonstrate quite nicely in your retakes/crops. Its the rule of thirds. There are some other tips in there too for better photos and for teachers a link on the main menu for classroom discussion.

I cant add filters easilly to my camera so I have learned not to get the sun in front of the lens which makes it one more challenge. Lens flare isnt just a Photoshop filter. See example. That was almost straight into the sun though.

Unfortunally I was unable to submit this one to the one to the open challenge because the rule change caught me unaware. You can see a red dot under the wing from flare of the cockpit canopy.
