Since there is not yet an automatic notification system, and because one could potentially never look at one's picture again and therefore miss the critique so painstakingly left by someone, I've decide that, upon finishing a critique, I will send a PM to the photographer, notifying them that they have received one. (Wow what a long sentence!)
My suggestion is that all the CC members do this.

I have been doing that almost each time I think.
Got hammered once only because the pic was the last one of the challenge and .. I got 'do not need that crap' kind of thing. But I think that if mine would get a critic, I would want to know.
By the way it leads to something like , woudl it be nice to have for the photographer a lit of his last 10 pictures that got a comment after the challenge is done ?

I think that with the system having a checkbox requesting the request now, that the photographer will be more likely to go back and see if a request has been completed with the following week.

Sometimes you dont remember to check back on things like that, even if you checked the box.
Notifying the critiqued is just a little nicety that makes sure that the info gets to its intended target. It takes an extra 2 seconds, and is helpful.

Good idea... I do it when I'm real late in getting one done, but I think I'll start doing that... Is there a plan to have auto-notification?

Re the autonotification, I don't know Mike. I was hoping some more people would sound off on this idea but it hasn't happened :).

Actually, I saw Drew say in another thread that there is a plan to allow an option to have comments emailed to the photographer automatically. They can choose to have all comments... Any comment after the vote is done... or No comments sent...
This would work out well :) Till that happens, I'll just throw PM out, like you suggest :)

I make it a point to keep checking my recent pictures to see if any critiques have been added. As soon as I see one I shoot a PM off thanking the CC member, but it would be real nice if there were a way to notify us as it iis a pain to keep checking. But its not a lot more effort than checking my vote status every few minutes. HA! HA!

| Another item which might be helpful in this vein is a section in Community which lists all of the photos and reviews recently done by the CC. Similar format to the Site Favoites. That would be interesting. |

I've been notifying my members after I Critique their shot and have had good feedback. BTW, it means a lot to me after I Critique someone to hear back from them to know that they either like or don't agree with my critique. It is something new for all of us and we can all improve. So go ahead and Critique the Critique!!
