Just curious if anyone else from DPC might be covering the event.

I think there are only about three republicans on this site. The rabid dems have chased them away. ;)

They should be ashamed of what their party has become.

If the journalists and photojournalists covering the massive protests (possible rioting) planned, and any other normal events, are only Republicans, then I think the coverage will probably be pretty poor.

But, in reality, there will probably be lots of objective professionals there. So I'm just curious if anyone else is going for coverage...not for party support.

So you get to cover? That should be pretty interesting. Have you covered something like this before? From a photographic point of view it strikes me as dim lighting (at least crowd shots) and the need for both telephoto and wide angle.

I will be going to the Ron Paul rally the Sunday before the convention.

Yes, I support Dr. Paul and his views but I also am taking this event as a HUGE opportunity to get some great shots with my new D7000! :)

I'll be sure to post photos after the event as I am sure I will have tons to show!

I will not be able to stay for the convention being that school is going to be going on during that time and I don't think I could get out of class that early into the semester! Lol.

LOL. I have reserved equal scorn for the Donkeys.

I'm not credentialed for the convention itself, so myself and another photographer are covering the protest events around the convention area.
