Like many of you, I had difficulty adjusting to the microstock concept. I dipped my toe in and it wasn't so bad. Now, microstock accounts for 1/4 of my stock sales.

However, Recently I've been seeing a drop in revenues from iStock. But I understand the ebb and flow of business. But then yesterday, I was checking my sales, and found a royalty for one of my images of only 8 cents. EIGHT CENTS!!! I'm considering giving telling them to shove it, and sever my relationship. I accepted lower per-image prices, but I guess eight cents is my breaking point.

What is your breaking point?

While I feel your pain, and heartily agree that eight cents is really absurd, it is eight cents more than I have ever been paid for an image.

I'm unsure as to how they think they will have a long term supply of images at those prices.
