Obviously, there's a lot of them: non-ribboners, I mean. And some of these non-ribboners have immense talent, but are always swimming against the stream. Our own counter-DPC-culture leader, Posthumous, would have been an obvious candidate, but he got a ribbon a couple months ago and took himself out of the race. So who would YOU nominate for this semi-coveted honor?

I was just looking again at Daisydavid's portfolio, is what made me think of this. Gawd, the guy's good... Is he the "best"? What do YOU think? Do I hear any votes for Cutout? For JMRitz? These are obvious candidates, but there must be tons of honest, inspiring artists in this site who I've been too lazy (or self-absorbed) to experience...

Anyway, Daisydavid's a hero of mine. He has such a surprising way of encountering reality. Does it get any better than "Gone"?

Yeah, actually, it DOES: "Pre Gone"

Check out his work!

Tell us who YOU think's an underrated hero of DPC, artistically.

R.

I'd like to Nominate Waddy MelonMusketeer for this elite status. I've been looking at some of the landscapes he's been regularly posting over on Facebook, and he's getting pretty darn good at them.

To the question at hand I gotta give some love to cutout, that dude is so bizarrely awesome.

Also, klkitchens is an extremely talented photographer who has yet to ribbon. I know he's taken some flak lately but that doesn't subtract from his beautiful work.

There's been some really good ones win their first ribbon recently, such as posthumous like you mentioned and also Neat.

of course cutout and agree with daisydavid.. and just off the top of my head - tnun, pixelpig, herfotoman, abra and messerschmitt, and some who are no longer visiting dpc very often: krnodil, quiet_observation, xianart.. more when I have a chance to rebrowse my favorites... I don't think determining the 'best' of these is important though. Go do your thing and like what you do, that is what is best.

rooum

And RKT if you consider single ribbon holders.

Funny how I thought the same about Clive as well, thought he had a few ribbons under his belt, well I guess it just comes down to the way I think rooum, and I think a lot of his shots should of and could of, and soon will!!
