Just saw this link via Flickr:

One Word

I think it would be fun to do this. And the challenge could give a couple of words for us to choose from so we would not get tired of looking at the same thing over and over lol.

So create a triptych based on ONE of these words: love, candy, animals, morning, flowers

Not saying we have to stick with those words but I think there should be a limit. I like the idea of the story telling options available here.

Oh and I request that this be ADVANCED editing. I'd like to see the works come together via pictures of scenes that actually exist.

Oh, I really like this idea. what a fun concept.

how about: shoot a triptych with one word in mind. the title of the entry can be a "hint" to the word. then the voters have to guess the word that you based your images on.

I liked the original too but i'm guessing the limit of 5 words might have something to do with it. I think it can still be fun. Now I just need to make sure I actually do this :)

Please one easy question for the english natives, regarding a small part of the challenge details?

(or any variation of the word)"

Does this mean for example that if my word would be "SHOE" i would not be allowed to have any shoes in my pictures? Or am i misunderstanding "variation"???

Thats for all advanced editng challenges. Thats just for if you wanted to do multplie exposures of the same frame without moving the camera for one photo and lay them on top of each other, the max amount of photos is 10. Thats all. Its not specific to this challenge.

No, you can have shoes in the photos, but not the word SHOE or variations in the title.

Ha, I think it is a trick challenge and everyone who complies with the description will be DQed.

Yup. I sent in a message to Langdon saying we need a special rule added here specifically permitting triptychs, or there's a rather glaring conflict :-)

After this challenge is over, we could do a "one word" side challenge if you guys are interested. I really like the original concept and think it would be a fun one to pursue. It would also be good for cell phone photos too.

Yep, that would be fun. I even commented to someone earlier today that it would make a good side challenge (with the original concept)
