Yeah sure...

If it makes you feel any better, the only "expert" level editing I did was using two pictures...

I vote enter it.

yeah, mine's not quite just two pictures. hmm.

I hadn't even noticed it was expert editing. I just went with advanced. My expected low fiver will now be lucky to make a 5.0

You're on the front page this week and have had a run of 6s too, I suspect you are underplaying your entry :)

Hey new guy here...should I be worried about expert editing challenges, sounds a little daunting, I'm a "keep it simple stupid" type guy. OH well I've already made up my mind to submit what I like and if it sscores well great if not well that's ok too as long as I'm learning and getting better. anyone else make their diptych in Lightroom?

Not going to enter because my idea, regardless of technical merit, would have failed miserably around here.

Enter what you've got. High scores are nice when you get them, but don't worry too much about a low score. No two people see art the same way. As long as it's something you like, enter it.

It's just putting two pictures either side by side, or one over the other... link to see examples

I think by deffinition they are suppose to be side by side but if it's two images it might still meet challenge.
I was able to do mine quite easily in lightroom3 with some work arounds .

Here's a link to more info on it. //www.flickr.com/groups/dyptichs/discuss/72157622874867352/

While this is "diptych" perhaps this triptych from an earlier Challenge will be helpful.

i have no problem putting the photos together ... I'm a long time user of Canvas from Deneba (now ACD Systems Canvas 14)

i was asking more along the lines of style...

Style is in the eyes of the beholder...

My entry is "in". I, also, did not notice the Extreme Editing ruleset. Of course, except for the combo of two images, my image would have passed Basic ruleset. The frustrating part of DPC these days, is the low votes I'll receive (on a competent image) because it does not take advantage of the allowable techniques. Oh.... that's my story.... and I'm sticking to it. Sub 5, for sure.
