From a passing discussion. I keep random images that catch my eye on my fridge, for motivation and to inspire thought.

So what's on your fridge ?

I've got a 8x10 print of this:
An American House - Jack Spencer

I've got a calendar of events for a local wildflower center that has 6 of my images on it.

Some blurry, colourful prints of coneflower pictures that I took and am still thinking about.

and a print of Arum Lily by Kate Breakey

Come to think of it : here's a slightly out of date picture, without the blurry, dark house picture.

Some rude magnetic "poetry" but I'd rather replace it with the non-rude stuff - much more fun to make rude messages out of normal words - too easy with the special kits.

And some other magnetic numbers and letters of the alphabet - the large colourful ones sold for kids, they are currently forming a quote from The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy.

And also some dubious magnets from various places - the souvenir kind. Uuugh... shudder...

No pictures though...

A cool and funky advent calander my older daughter made for her sister a few Christmases ago
A Wizard of Oz poster magnet we've had for years
An Attack of the Killer Tomatoes poster magnet we've had for years
Several square magnets that say "Tape Side" that one of my kids found and stuck on there
A couple of Sleepy Time tea magnets
A cartoon my younger daughter drew
A free Ben & Jerry's cone coupon
A gift certificate to a vegetarian restaurant that my daughters have yet to use
A coupon for Friskies cat food that will probably expire before I remember to use it
A complementary magnet from an ebay purchase

This is an interesting thread for me, silly as it is, since I've been living with a very tiny refrigerator for the past couple of years, since moving to a small apartment. I have to feed five grown people out of that 'fridge and it has been hellatious to say the least. For my upcoming birthday (next Tuesday) My husband bought me a 22 cubic foot 'fridge with a pull-out freezer compartment in the bottom and gallon jug storage on the doors! It is waiting at the apartment we will be renting from my parents as of September. I can't wait! For the new apartment and the new 'fridge. Of course, my husband and I pretty much began our married life at that apartment but it has only recently become available again since we sold our house a few years ago. We are really looking forward to hardwood floors, basement storage, windows and sunlight after living in a basement apartment since August of '02.

Okay, I have to finally confess my ignorance after three months. What does 'bump' signify?

bumps the thread up to the top of the visible threads list. Usually, but not always, done in an vain attempt to get some more interest, by someone who can't believe that nobody else gives a damn about the topic they started.

More subtle bumps occur when the thread starter takes a while to respond to questions, nearly invisibly keeping the thread active, while not saying much that relates to the initial topic of the thread. This post would be a good example of that approach.

It's a post that "bumps" the subject back up to the top of the homepage list so people who use just that list to track new threads will see it.

Oooh...you are one of those annoying DIY'ers that actually gets stuff done! LOL! Just kidding! I'm jealous is all. I have a billion ideas but hardly ever follow through. In fact, today I was planning how I could make shower curtain decorations to go along with the Western theme my daughter and I are planning for the bathroom in our new apartment. :-D

Thanks for the clarification. Those posts have had me stumped for awhile.

Three hummingbird magnets and a piece of kid art with a picture of my grandniece in it. Oh yes, and right next to the "FrostFree insignia" is a magnet that someone gave me saying, "I Love New York".

What if the Hokey Pokey is really what it's all about?
I've been shopping for 20 years, and I still have nothing to wear!
I will not obsess, I will not obsess, I will not obsess

Plus photos of my animals, a magnetic bin for takeout menus, and another bin for bills.

I just caught this on a bumper sticker, slightly rephrased:
What if the Hokey-Pokey really is what it's all about?

I may not be a great photographer, and I may not be the most brilliant crayon in the box, but there are SOME things that I KNOW... ;o)
