In my case it was fairly even, so I think it depends on the photo.

Good point, Robert.

That is a very big difference. I didn't vote on this challenge. I was going to but timing was bad for the first four days of the challenge and by the time I had the time to vote my score was so high and I was so excited that I decided the prudent thing to do was to not vote.

But like klkitchens I too had a higher average vote from participants than from non participants.

that's a typical trend. i think it just has to do with not being impartial.

Oddly, I was checking this over and over on my entries and on THIS challenge, my entry was lower from non-participants... All the others were the opposite.

I've been dropping a bit, too. Is it people who wait till the last minute to vote or people who go back in and drop scores?
05/29/2012 11:08:49 PM · #14
:( Last minute drop. From 6.44 to 6.38 in 3 votes. Been very steady for several days. These drops before rollover are always so disappointing.

I wish I had more time to do more commenting as there are just so many great images. What a wonderful challenge.

Thanks Phil, I think you bumped me a whopping .02!

Done, except for a handful that I knew of beforehand and skipped.

You have rated 121 of 124 images (98%) in this challenge.
You have commented on 6 images (5%) in this challenge.
You have given an average score of 6.2893.

About the only way I could fairly vote was to simply go by what appealed to me. I may have given too many 5's and need to go bump them one way or the other.

My my, it was pretty awesome to go through this challenge again, and again.

I've pushed up a few more, score wise and handed out 3 awards this time.

I hope this challenge has opened up a few more 'minds' to the possibility of venturing out of 'their comfort zones' and trying something different every now and then.

My score is a little above average, but with the 2 faves (one from John) and comments makes it all the worth while, and NO my shot is not John's.

I know! Mine is mine.

It really opened my eyes to a style that's not the "norm", and surprisingly, there were a lot of photos in the challenge that I really enjoyed. I'm obviously not going to win (or even come close), but I'm happy! And this challenge is what pushed me over the edge into joining.

Two favorites in any challenge is an accomplishment. Congratulations!

Kris, congratulations on the score and faves. I'll keep my fingers crossed it stays over 7.

Ben, Brian I guess I'm still ahead, 6.1. It was 6 when I woke up.

I must admit I've not seen a challenge where I've enjoyed the entries more. Thanks everyone for making this a very enjoyable week.

Thanks John. This has been one of my favorite challenges ever and not just because I'm scoring well. I had a blast shooting for it and when I can I will tell that story.

Looking forward to that. I'll be missing rollover tonight. Need my sleep, old, and I have to get up early for work. I'll peek back in the morning. I try to stay up until 11 but that's it for this old geezer.

Good luck everyone.

I will say that we here in the Mountain Time Zone have it the best. Rollover comes at 10. It's perfect.
