I was wondering who is using this lens and if you have any shots from it. I also am looking for someone who is usuing it with the Nikon Capture 4 software.
Nikon says "The new "Fisheye to Wideangle Transformation" function in the optional Nikon Capture 4 software package transforms diagonal fisheye images shot using the AF DX Fisheye-Nikkor 10.5mm f/2.8G ED to ultra-wideangle photos, (by transforming the type of projection). This is an appealing new feature made possible only with digital photography and with the Nikon Total Imaging System."
Do these pictures actually have the right geometry after converted, or is there still some rounded lines. It almost seems to good to be true to have a fisheye and super wide angle for the same price minus the software price.

rudy,
I saw a couple pics that were posted on the nikonians.org website, under the d70 users forum, of interiors that had been shot with the 10.5, then "de-fished" in the nikon software. they have the right geometry after conversion, and actually come out looking pretty cool. it was pretty neat to see the fisheye shot of a room, and then the defished, with correct straight lines.
