Ah, so it is! So why do I recall backlash against seascapes in landscape challenges? Seascape it will be, then!

There's always the few, but they're in the minority. Seascape is definitely a sub-category of landscape, imo, and works perfectly well!

Sure, seascapes are included because they include some elements of land.

Well, if pressed for a reaction, I'd say an ocean scene with no land in sight would not fair well in a landscape challenge. I'm not saying one could not enter such an image. It would sort of be like entering a prairie scene of rolling hills with no water in sight into a seascape challenge. Probably pushing past the edge of the envelope. But, based on my recent scores, i know very little about anything.

We have had a "Land (not sea)" challenge. But, a regular Landscape challenge is inclusive of land, water and maybe manmade things.

Yeah I gotta agree with you there Hahn... I can't imagine an image like this would fair too well...

Personally, I don't care, but I think many voters may not see it that way... I think as long as you have some land, or shore in your shot, you should be okay...

I am so scared to enter this one, because I don't have enough material around me (well, time to go to the material)... so, I had to create something which probably will be killed by DPC's "Not good enough" crowd... damn!

I will enter anyways, three challenge, from 7 to 6 to 5s...
