As many of you know, absolute magic happens when steel wool is ignited and spun. OK, maybe not magic, but it's really f***ing cool. ;) Two large potential complications come as a result of doing so:

1) Large displays of burning projectiles being flung in every direction tend to grab the attention of everyone nearby (including authority figures).

2) Burning projectiles are burning. If anything nearby is flammable and not completely soaked (in water, to be exact), it very well may ignite.

I have multiple grades of 0-0000 steel wool, multiple wool containment devices (whisk, etc), a dog leash for spinning without binding, but no immediately obvious location here in Southern California (I'm in the Inland Empire area) to try this technique out.

So my question to all you fellow So Cal DPCers (especially those into Urban Exploration) is the following:

Know any good locations (preferably with a small amount of water on the ground) that aren't very flammable and are out of public view? Locations like tunnels, underground areas, etc would be ideal, but other locations would also work if they are truly out of public view.

Thanks!
