I remember that thread. complaints of "there are going to be so many bugs." DUH! "You know a bug picture will win." DUH! When they are done so well, how can they not?!

i couldnt help noticing the Macro IV results... for all the statisticians/dpc historians out there has any photo ever scored as high as Dragon Eyes by Jacko which received a 8.092... and has there ever been such a huge difference between first and second? (8.092 vs 7.102)
oh, and have there ever been two double ribbon winners on the same day?
08/09/2004 04:14:29 AM · #19
congrats to you both :)

The answer is yes.

"Eight Ball--Corner Pocket" scored an 8.6 and the second place winner for that recieved a 7.1

Pretty hard to make a comparison between the challenge the table one had
20 entries and 2433 votes, and Macro IV had 249 entries with 45690 votes !

Agreed. This one scored over 8, but would probably be less successful in a 'modern' challenge (no offense)...

With each challenge, the bar is set a little higher. Jacko's entry is all the more impressive for being the 10th highest rated photo ever on this site!

Congrats to both Jacko and Kirbic. Well deserved and I would like to thank you both for sharing your talents. :)
