I'm heading out to Jackson Hole in a couple of weeks. I'm doing a photography loop from Seattle, couple of days in Missoula, then yellowstone, Jackson hole, Idaho, and Portland, Or.
I've never beeen to Yellowstone or Grand Tetons before. If anyone knows this area, I would appriciate any tips on food, sites, lodgeing, etc.

Thanks in advance,

Frank

Welcome to my back yard. I will try to find some of the things I would recomend for Yellowstone and Missoula and get back to you.

:) Sounds like a good adventure!

I'm just sliding this thread over to "out and about" because that seems to be the more appropriate place for it!

cheers and have a good time!

After working two summers in Yellowstone, and avoiding annoying tourons(Tourist x Morrons). Get up very early, do touristy stuff in mid-day and go to back out after 5 P.M. to dark. Eat when you have to. Get off the main roads at least a mile or more. Ask rangers where to avoid crowds and explore lesser known trails. Good luck, Van
