This was my first challenge.
Wife convinced me not to use the following at the last minute even though I liked it much better.

I missed being able to put this shot in by seconds. I think it might have done a bit better.

After seeing all the outtakes, I think that everyone made the right choice for their entry.

As for toddhead, I liked your outtake very much... but the entry was a more telling story, so I think you made the right choice.

I didn't have any outtakes, as I used the first set up I took. Here was my entry:

It did better than I thought it would. Scored in the top 50% my first challenge, so not too bad. But most of all, it was a tribute to my husband, for everything he's done for this country, and for his family.

So I was more than happy with the image... :)
