youre on very dodgy ground as that photo of the lockness monster is actually a representation of a suitcase, your creativity is just limited and you know nothing about art... be careful ;)

Again, I am not entered in this challenge but I think it's so wrong that these threads no longer are about scoring ... they are about people airing their views on whether entries meet the challenge or not. I seem to remember that SC used to step in and stop this kind of behavior. It does sway the votes .. oh not for the majority of the members who have been around for quite a long time as you will notice that they only talk about such matters AFTER the voting is over. For new people who want to know how to vote and are looking for guidance, it can be quite a different story.

You might think you know what the challenge means and end up with egg on your face which clearly shows your age (and I am not talking biologically here) once the photographers comments on the shot are visible.

How dare anyone try to tell/sway others how to vote during the voting stage. Yeah, strong words coming from me but I am getting sick of the way things are deteriorating on this site with all this talk about DNMC during the voting stage. As I state on my profile page - I wish ignorance was painful.

Ah, so this is when after a challenge one gets a request to send in the original. This is what happened to me with my Crocodile Rock entry... I am honoured. ;)

I think that the top 5 or top 10 have to validate their entries with an original, and any others are chosen to validate based on a possible rule violation... could be wrong, but I think I read that somewhere

i dont htink it can be done after voting, my music entry got validated on day one of voting which must have been a user initiated request

1-5 are validated automatically i think maybe 1-4 not sure

ok thanks, so it is an automatic validation. Somehow I don't feel to great to have my original file sitting on file.

The top 5 scoring images are automatically subject to validation after the voting phase ends. Then, if any are DQd, images moving into the top 5 spots are automatically subject to validation. Photographers have 48 hours to submit unaltered original file(s) to the SC and Admin. Notice of the need to submit original file(s) is sent by email and a notification appears on your DPC home page. Now the tough part.... it can take 7 or 8 or more days for the validation process to complete. When complete, one will receive a notice of validation email. DQs can happen faster if a rule violation (not requiring review of image(s)) is the cause for the DQ.

Beyond the top 5 images, other images can be subject to validation review if a majority of the SC agrees with member/user reports of possible ruleset violations.

I will just add that sometimes you will never receive any confirmation that your image has been validated, I would say this happens about 25% of the time.

I was quoted details and DNMC opinions by a bag head too. Not only illiterate but also extremely negative and sadly judgmental without a critical explanation of his/her opinion as to why they thought so.
These people seem very angry and depressed to me, to be constantly putting out in public, their true natures. Yin yang. I'm guessing.

Good old times :) I always get a confirmation (since a year or so, but that's a guess)
