Looking better, and one very positive comment. Probably won't make a 6, but should have it's fans.

It's all okay. I appreciate all the votes. All feedback is valuable. Sometimes, public opinion is "character building". LOL!!!! |

Above the 5 mark... Makes me a little more happy than a sub-5 score I woke up to. |

If it stays in this range I'll be very happy!

My score isn't fantastic but after last night's influx of 1s, I'm happy with it! Nice comments too.

so ticked off at this score I feel like self-DQing it, but I am thinking I'd rather let it stay and when all is done, people who are considering joining here can see the kind of unjust scores here.

Not sure how I'm going to vote on 400 images!! Seems to be quite the daunting task. |

At 10 votes I was sitting at a 4.2 and I was PISSED.
Still wish it was higher, but in comparison, this is great |

So close to a 6.0 and doing better than I thought but more importantly someone made it a their favourite!
Like everyone else my score took a nosedive into the 4's but has made a nice recovery. Some truly great images in this challenge as well. |

Is the "scrubber" still working on removing the consistent 1 scorers or...are voters just getting smarter as to how they vote lower to avoid the scrubs? LOL ;) |

Well I don't generally pre-screen my entries with other members except when I am on a team. But I wish I either had done the pre-screen thing or just gone with what "I like" for this challenge. I made the mistake of trying to guess what voters might be looking for all on my own when this is probably best done by committee.
I gave my image heavy processing guessing that would be okay for this challenge and might score well and a couple of comments have come in already making it clear I was wrong about this. If I am going to continue to be a recluse before posting my entries I had better just enter things I personally like and stop guessing what the voters might embrace.
It's going to be a long week and I wish I could just brush my entry under the rug. Not so much for the score which isn't that bad, but for the processing that I don't even like myself- what was I thinking? :(

I don't enter anything for over two years because I wasn't happy with scores. I figured I would refine any skills I thought I had and learn post-processing more. I thought my skills were getting better. I must have been wrong because I am on pace for a score worse that photos I look back at as being bad. I guess I should go back into hibernating. |

I did the same thing! One of my lowest scores in a while but at least it's above 4 now o.O

I have decided to alternate between crowd pleasers and experimenting. With Best of 2011 I had good and consistent advice for a high scorer (thanks) and had that entry sitting there for 2 weeks till yesterday when I decided I don't like it! HA! That was a silly idea as I finished with something in between - neither a crowd pleaser, nor a worthwhile experiment :/ BUT then there will be Best of 2012 next January! :) |

I think you are being too hard on yourself. It is a learning process, and you don't learn if you don't make mistakes. |
