| This type of voting is why I have scaled back my submissions and will not use DPC as a weekly "Fun" thing to do...6.2000 to 5.5714...lol...it ain't worth it anymore... |

| I didn't have much hope for mine but 4.8 is ridiculous (it would be welcome if I entered a different type of shot). We'll see what the score is in the morning. If it is under 5.5 after 50 votes I will ask for self DQ as a protest against crazy voting. |

Whining because you have a low score is OK, but self DQing because you have a low score is ... something I hope you will reconsider in the morning. |

Self DQ is in protest to the ridiculous voting patterns, NOT because my average "low 6" image is on low score of "high 4" now. You must have misunderstood what I have said. |

The ones worth low scores are really the minority.
I'm about halfway through now, and am committed to finishing before bed, even though I'm SO tired and my week has sucked...but these images have deeply moved me. I don't remember the last time I got so emotional about so many photos in one sitting. I can't stop looking.
I've given out SO many 10's. |

A lot of excellent, professional work. This is just another FS :) I'm particularly impressed that there's such a huge variety. It would seem that "Best of..." means "MY best", not just a "Best for DPC" and that images appear to be submitted on that basis.

I didnt enter, and with SO many submission, I think I may do a quarter of the votes in each hit.. but I will vote on 100% by the end

Hah. That's crazy talk :-)
My own views are that mediocre scores are protests against mediore images so maybe the appropriate protest is to not to enter images when you have no hope for them in the first place -- why should voters vote your image high if you mightn't? Although, under five is not a happy place to be at all!
But regardless, its early days. All images scores have the potential to become a lot more and a lot less mediocre during the week! I'm not far above your score myself and didn't have much hope for it either! :-)

Hope you find some time to go back and take a careful look at some more images. (not meant in a harsh way at all) |

I just spent TWO HOURS voting. Some images take just a few seconds, some take longer. My votes are fair, honest and generous, and I'll vote as fast as I see fit.
What a PICKY thing to focus on. Get a life. :S |
