I don't think anything "normal" is happening right now. I have NEVER seen such low scores on DPC. This is the work of trolls, for sure.
I'm going through the photos right now, and these scores are ridiculous for what I've seen so far.
Get out and vote people! Get the REAL scores out there asap!
...before we all throw our cameras in the trash :P

but yes, some AMAZING stuff.
im at 4.2 right now. i'm sure it's trolls, but it's still very disappointing, i really thought i had a good one, and now i'm questioning it. :( |

I've hit 5 now so no complaints. I've only voted on a dozen shots and there seems to be something unusual with some titles as if they were not modified from a tracking name. I wonder if this has something to do with the improved upload process.

You bet it does. In the "old days" the title field was blank and you couldn't upload without a title. So you had to think about it. Now it borrows whatever title's on the image in "storage", and if you forget to change it you may be in for a rude shock. I know I sometimes title my workshop stuff with titles that would point directly back to me, for example.

Regarding low scores, I think it's pretty normal for early voters in large challenges to lay down placeholder votes that will later be adjusted, so don't lose hope. Still, just for the record, I got so many people ticked off with my 1-as-placeholder-on-landscapes approach that I'm not doing that anymore, so don't look at me :-) I've voted 25% so far, and my average vote given is nearly 6, which is very high for me.

| I'm voting and then stopping everyone once in a while for a break, and I have to say, there are some OUT OF THIS WORLD shots in this one. I am blown away. There is one image in particular that I had a PHYSICAL reaction to. Honestly people, get away from your computer, or go to sleep, or vote and get the real scores out there...everything will level out, cause this stuff is just outstanding, and these are NOT your real scores. |

Thanks Robert, that explains it. I sometimes add an extra point for a good title but never punish for strange or no title. I hope other's will do the same.
