Maybe something like Ebay stores is something that could be of use to you. I don't really know that much about them, but a basic store is only $9.95 a month. Worth a look anyway. Good luck.

to make an image link open in a new window:

for a slideshow, you'll need to google for some javascript sideshows, the same with CSS menus

There is no easy "one step" solution if you want to do something clean. I have done some in java, flash or just plain html, all are very different, each as it use. Lately i begun to use coldfusion, its very efficient.

There are some really good (free) java scripts here if anyone is interested.

How are you talking about concluding business transactions? Are you in need of a 'shopping cart' program?

It seems like you are talking about a little more then just a web-site. 'Just a Web-site' is a collection of pages, you can do that in innumerable ways. Once you start talking about buyers, you are talking about Databases, Credit Card or Bank Transactions among other things.

If you are talking about 'private member galleries' then you are talking about even more databases. Databases of not only content, but UserID/Password Combos. This can be a very complicated process...

...or it can be very simple, it all depends upon what you are looking to provide.

What are you really looking to provide?

It is not a online shopping web site with shopping cart.

As of now i just plan to contact some retailers who would be interested in selling my goods, i thought earlier to just email snaps but than i have contact many retailers and a web site would be more presentable

Oh, well if that is all you are looking for you might try JAlbum. It is freeware and builds very presentable online albums. There are a lot of templates to go with it and it is very cutomizable to add other text, etc. There are similar free album generators out there that might fit the bill as well, if you Google for them or search the forums.

I believe that Adobe also has a 'free' product that will do that. There is an option to bundle it with Acrobat Reader 6.0.

When I say 'free', I am not sure if it is a free application or a trial version.

I believe it is Adobe Photoalbum 2.0, the description of it mentions things like creating a web-photo album or a slideshow presentation with a number of photos.

Beyond that, you could do a search for CSS Templates that work with 'all' web browsers and modify the body section to include a series of thumbnails of your work.
