Yeah, I run into harassing security guards all the time. Anyone know if PPA offers legal representation?

that's a good question i didn't see anything on any of the pages but i just scanned through their web site. even if they don't it would be good to have access to lawyers that specialize in this though.

I agree with the judge in this case. The ruling was not just on the composition and processing being the same but on the past interaction the two parties had had; Houghton being aware of Fielder's image before taking and selling his own. It's good to know if you're making money from a photo someone else can't just rip you off and sell their version.

As I posted in the other thread. If this is limited to protecting a "brand". I agree. But I'd hate see it extend past that. Like many have done on this site, putting your own spin on someones photo and mimicking their style should not violate copyright.

Good thing it doesn't then. Houghton is still able to sell all his other selective desat photos of red buses in London as far as I'm aware.
