I guess whoever posted their Blue Moon picture is already on July 31st. I am looking forward to seeing the Blue Moon...First one I've seen ever. (never paid attention to the others.).
Also I still don't understand the minature challenge. I am staying out of that one I think...not sure.

Just to clarify that I'm seeing this correctly...

The speed challenge is an open challenge with advanced rules? Normally speed challenges are members only and normally open challenges are basic editing, so want to make sure that open and advanced are correct.

I guess that's why it's called "Once in a Blue Moon" :P

There is a link to the Advanced Rules right under the title ... that's what applies.

It's correct now!

My guess is that it was supposed to be members-only... but it's posted as open so I can't imagine we'll move it now.

Either that or Drew and Langdon decided it would be good to run an open speed challenge once in a blue moon...

I have a terrific shot of the moon I got before getting home and logging on. Much to my dismay I shot it in black and white! Will I do lousy entering it anyway you think?

Yeah I did. I was thinking the emphasis was on the moon, not the blue. Oh well.

just to check... it doesn't have to have anything to do with the moon, does it?? the emphasis is on BLUE

Dude this kicks ass, I happened to be out shooting some night photography at around 2-4AM. I just got back and saw the challenge and I think one of my photos fits it perfectly :)

Well we all know how much the voters love OOF foreground objects.

That said, I like it. 6 or 7 from me.
