Hello,

I'm curious. Do you have to have a checkings account to hook up your bank account with paypal? I figured a savings would work, but it says one must have a routing number, and if savings works. How would I get a hold of the routing number.

You can use a savings account; my bank gave me an info card with my account and routing number. Call or visit your bank, they should be able to provide you with the proper routing number.

The best way is to ask your bank. It might be on the bottom of a deposit slip if you have pre-printed ones, but sometimes banks use internal routing numbers for that. A real routing number be nine digits and starts with 0, 1, 2, or 3.
