I think it might be recognized, it does not equate to low votes though.
PS I am not happy with my score either for the same reason.
PS2 I just got a 3 followed by an 8, that's crazy!

I'd prefer a lot of people to dislike my image a lot and maybe a small handful to really like it than a lot of people to think it was just a bit 'meh'. Plus, when viewing challenge results i always, after viewing the front page, go straight to the back and start working my way through backwards as i find, in many cases, the best images are to found in the low to mid 4s. |

| I was thinking the same thing. They are either totally blown out over PP'd or look like a regular single exposure. Only a few seem to portray what HDR is intended for... But what do I know... |

HDR: To over process, give everything regardless of subject the grunge look... ( or at least that's what I seem to do) LOL |

This one oughta be good for keeping my average down. Knew it was meh, but thought it would perform a bit better. Can never tell though, my meh entry in another challenge is in the 6's.

Not competing but just went through and voted:

Couple of 9's, couple of 8's, a few 7's but on the whole not impressed and think I's pretty generous with some of my votes... taking a mundane scene and processing the hell out of it won't automatically make it interesting and with many of the photos I can't even see why hdr should be used when I single exposure would have looked better (obviously the challenge is hdr, but this isn't my point) :<. I guess it's all a taste thing. |

Very glad to say that first, I didn't need to wear shades to see the entries, and second, that mostly a light hand was used. Not too many entries made my retinas ache.
