The closest approach will occur at 6:28 p.m. ET when the asteroid passes within 202,000 miles of our planet, NASA said.

Just junp real high, you might be able to touch it...

I don't trust NASA. I predict it's either going to hit the earth, or hit the moon, sending it out of orbit and causing it's eventual collision with earth. Either way, we all die! RUN!

I suggest a 24 hours challenge. The title could be 'impact'. Don't know how it can work without voters, though ;-)

The report I heard suggested you could see it with a 6" diameter or larger telescope, and if you know just where to look. I believe it is less than 1000 feet across, and almost a quarter-million miles away.

I'm not sure it will pass between the Earth and Moon -- just that it will pass Earth nearer than the Moon ever gets.

But who can pay for it? :)

Let me rephrase that, 'for the one who can take a picture of it'.

I guess that now we can kiss our astroid goodbye : )
