Did you really mean "exclusive" open challenge. The term exclusive is used for when there are two challenges and you can only enter one. Thus there would be a challenge for babies, and a challenge for toddlers. If that isn't what you meant, you should edit your original post as often the challenge is directly taken from the original with no regard to replies.

hah! all those voters who like to give ones to photos just because they have a baby in them will have a hard time with this one. If they give all 1's then there votes will be scrubbed. So I guess they will have to give out some 2's and 4's instead. :P

No, it's a suggestion for a challenge.

It could work if photographers capture images of non-related, non-friend infants. That would take out the "my child" factor. No offense to anyone who has ever posted any infant image.

Nah, that would give people license to say things like "what an ugly baby, where on earth did you find it?". ;D

Non-friend, non-related infants and toddlers. Sounds like the perfect way to make new friends, and hire lawyers.

I meant that it should be an open challenge, and thes are often labeled as exclusive even when there is only one.

I know what you meant, which is why I was trying to lend a helping hand. The only time open challenges are labels as exclusive is if there are two of them happening at the same time and you are only allowed to enter one.

Maybe I didn't communicate well. What happens, in my few years of experience, is people enter images of their child or grandchild. To them, this child is beautiful beyond belief. And, no other infant could come close to matching the stellar significance. That's fine. But, the problem emerges when unrelated, impartial voters don't share the opinion of the related parties. Enuf said.

The good news: You can post whatever version you want.
The bad news: well, I think you know the bad news. ;-)

A baby is born every night, in fact a baby is born every 5 seconds throughout the earth... ;-)
