I used a USD 0.89 prop in mine. Sometimes, less is more.

The "Challenge Details" for Abstract III are succinct and accurate - a dictionary definition of the word.
A serious challenge for those who have a tendancy to require some kind of recogniziable subject, invent their own meaning for words, or are not familiar with 20th century art history.

For a change, I specifically shot for this challenge. I love my entry, which probably means some voters will not. And, I researched my interpretation of the "concept" and found good documentation of its validity as an abstract. (linked in image details section) Sometimes we do our photography for our own education and enjoyment... in spite of savage votes by those who miss the message.

I shot a clearly recognizable subject but will make the title abstract

I very much like the "sometimes we do our photography for our own education and enjoyment" - wonderful way to put it! And a challenge site, with sometimes contentious challenge definitions, is a great place to do just that, don't you think?

This is an extremely difficult challenge for me. And I hated the challenge description, because I wanted to try something like this again:

To me, this is definitely an abstract, yet something that intrigued me greatly.

Nope. Subject can't be recognizable.

Irritating! I couldn't do what I wanted to do!

I'm still trying to come up with something. I've done 4 different shoots of different ideas. I'm not over the wall about any of them, but I kind of like a few.

But I certainly have been experimenting with things that I normal don't do. This is the type of challenge that's irritating, yet completely worthwhile because it gets you out of your comfort zone.

That being said, I'd love a normal challenge for a change! I'm tired of being out of my comfort zone! :D
