My current monitor has always has color calibration issues. It's the Samsung Syncmaster 245bspecial. If I view the picture dead on, it looks fine but from a bit of an angle I see areas I missed masking out or dodging/burning etc. Not the best monitor.
I'm looking for something around the 300/400USD mark...the one that is 'the best' according to some Googling, isn't available in Japan. Was wondering what DPC people use...recommend...want...
I'm open to any information.

I have a 20" NEC Accusync. I opted out of an upgrade to a larger screen because this one displays colors and subtleties much better than anything else I have tried. Not calibrated, however, but I think I have a pretty good eyeball adjustment on it.

The Dell U2412M seems to be a good monitor. Not quite as versatile as the more expensive U2410, but seems to get good reviews. It's available for about $370 USD.

As long as Ken has derailed the thread, here's another good monitor.

Couldn't be that good, she sunk in rough seas.
So-- I'd recommend one of the Dells. I have several large Dell's that I got at great prices and they have been excellent. |
