Haha, I'm fairly certain I went blind trying to capture sunlight in the last challenge... LoL.
Too funny.

And to think I wasn't blind enough from the last challenge. -_- |

Ditto on the last two posts. I shot the sun all week trying to get the right flare with the right subject. I had to sit in my car with my eyes closed for a few minutes before i could go anywhere afterward. But I really like my shot that I entered. Apparently not everyone does as it sits at sub 5.2 right now but I was really happy with it. SO..... off to go get even more blinded this week. |

So, I guess by example the sun does not need to be in the frame. |

Not for the lens flare challenge, but this one seems to require it. JMO. Remember, this one doesn't require flare, so a nice sunset/sunrise shot should work. |

Seems a bit close to the flare challenge, but okay, I didn't get to enter that in the end so hopefully I'll get a chance to shoot for this one =). |

Yup the winning photo does not even have the sun in the frame. Just someone throwing the net in the water after the sun is out of the frame. |

I agree that seems rather stupid, it's not even a subjective DNMC, but ah well, there's no disqualification for not meeting a challenges criteria so it's all down to the voters in the end. Maybe a nice enough water drop shot can win this one. |

Humph!! Chance would be a fine thing! Us poor brits can hardly get a glimpse of the sun these days... We generally refer to it as a 'wierd-bright-light-in-the-sky' phenomenon on the odd chance it does make an appearance! |

I saw (and photographed) the sun today. May be the last glimpse for a few days. |

I'm gonna have to think really hard to come up with something creative for this as opposed to just a sunset as my sunset images are usually so boring :( ... *sigh*
But! looking forward to the amazing creativity of other people!! |
