| Certainly this challenge has been very hard - very little sun here. Even tried shooting a data projector into my lens! Got something in the end but very challenging. I'll struggle to get through the first round. |

wow... what a funky challenge. I've taken about 800 shots, and have 2 semi-decent entries out of the deal. I did get one awesome failed shot, though. (failed for lens flare, success for shot :)
Luckily Jenn's on my WPL team, so when she beats me in this challenge, there's a silver-lining. :) |

This challenge is killing me! I have been trying for days on this one with no luck and no flare!!!

Ha!! I totally missed this thread! littlemav you definitely do not have to worry about my Flare entry..it seems there has been little sun in my area since the challenge was announced! I rushed a shot at the only chance I got!

I did get a shot entered...it has lens flare, but I don't know that it'll have popular appeal. I hope you had some luck finding a shot, I'd hate to move on from a default. |

So, the next challenge is the one that starts tonight correct? And we need to enter that before we know if we are in the next round?
I wonder if this next challenge will be: "Violent Mob" your challenge is to photograph a group of people engaged in violent civil disorder... |

Me too! Especially because I KNOW that the lens flare actually hurts the image. I took two identical shots, one got lens flare and one didn't, and I find the "No lens flare" image to be much stronger. |

Which average do i need to beat? The one that i had when the challenge started? Or the one that i will have when voting ends.
I hope its the former coz all my entries currently in voting are about to raise my average quite nicely and i may not beat that easily with a lousy overexposed sun photo.
And no, i am not complaining about the high votes you guys are currently giving my three entries :) |

It's your starting average that counts - it remains fixed for the duration of the challenge.
And as mentioned below, the next challenge announced will form the basis of round 2; you'll need to shoot for it because you won't know whether you are through until rollover next week.
