The main reason I entered this challenge was to test myself with minimal editing.

So I'm happy with the score.

Minimal editing just doesn't do a lot for me. Even in the darkroom, back in the days of film, there was lots of stuff done to affect the final result.

Seems to me there was some cropping on some of the entries, but maybe that's just the camera that was used. I guess we'll see. ;)

Yikes. I guess it was a risky entry :) People seem to love or hate it. Never had an entry drop over two points in the night

That's because you have only ever entered 11 challenges, it will happen more frequently as you enter more.

Besides you are using a very small vote count. Wait till you reach 70 odd votes to get a indication where your score will finish.

If you see one that you think is cropped...then please request a validation. I spent a whole evening setting up my shot in order to have the correct crop. It would be very unfair to just let some suspects slip by.

Minimal is minimal.

My original was shot in raw and had to retake in jpg mode after I read the minimal editing rules. Can't use a raw file, can't crop - that's minimal!

Yes, I saw several that I think were cropped and at least 3 that I'm 99% sure they were, so I think we will see the number of entries dwindle in the next few days.

I Agree and actually after starting to vote wish I hadn't as I was very disappointed and there is not one shot where I could say WOW or AWESOME or PLEASING image..... Not sure but I do not think I will ever score a similar challenge like this again as it was hard and way below my average re scoring.....VERY SAD INDEED.....

Yep - well actually I forgot when i was shooting and submitting, dang it. My first DQ. Was hoping I could get more entries in before i hit it :(

That's the problem with minimal editing, it reduces digital photography to Point & Shoot and most DPCers are not very good at it ;) I found a couple of gems though but they are not likely to win.

Actually, I think minimal editing separates the good photographers from the good photoshopper's. Almost anyone can edit a photo to make it better, but not everyone can take a good photo. Just saying...
