I'm down to 5.53 currently, i.e. my worst score ever.
Looks like my tastes are really evolving away from DPC's ones recently, since I really love my entry. |

I get 5's all the time. Maybe it is time to let the message pass in my head and understand what the voters are trying to tell me: sell my stuff and look out for another hobby. Maybe I can start knitting :D |
I know you're kidding, but, underneath it I'm sure there's also a grain of truth there. I often used to feel the same way. The thing is, I've gotten past the need to worry about the scores. I shoot what I like, I process how I like, and I put it out there for others to love, like, dislike or hate as they please. It doesn't effect me because I already achieved my joy in taking it. My score usually fall in the low 5 range, but I've had my share of 3's and I made it all the way to a 7. I'm not a pro. It's a hobby that I enjoy, nothing more. And I refuse to let anyone spoil it for me. |

Voting is really weird on my picture. Early this morning I was on 6.0xxx, and 4 hours later on 7.0xxx and now again 6.2xxx. Still going up and down with every other vote.
Only one comment, from someone who came across as a complete and utter tool. |

Hehe! I don't mind much about being hammered: sometimes you enter a photo you're not totally happy with, and you kinda expect to get low votes, but the "update button" addiction is strong... But in that case, I believe it is a good image, at least exactly as I wanted it to be, so it's really a taste difference. Interesting from a self-analysis point of view. |

Trying to stay as close as possible behind you in this one :)
My Stripes entry was not to disappointing, but for my Time entry I should say it's time they close the voting round. |

| I refuse to enter images to improve my average!! ;) I like Paul's philosophy - he enters now and then images that he knows are not to DPC popular appeal. There are quite a few great photogs at DPC who do that often eg. jbeguin or whiteroom. To me the average is important in the early stage of learning - it gives a measure of improvement. After that I think finding your own style is the most important, tanguera is a very good example for that. To me it is the sign of growth as a photographer. |
