oh my god. I just saw this challenge. And I shot a picture of a beautiful sunrise outside my place during the submission deadlines. I guess I can always enter into the outtakes thread afterward :)

I could not resist taking this shot knowing that it probably wouldn't be popular but (as it is with everyone that enter's a shot) I really liked it. Sooo... I'm rather pleased with how it's going and very happy with the great comment.

Just wondering how people are scoring this challenge, took a photo which absolutely meets the challenge, but the score is going up and down by leaps and bounds, We are talking drops of 0.5, but then leaps up by the same amount.

5.0 Even. Which is exactly where my stripe entry is. Consistently underperforming my average ;-)

One comment from an anonymous person who obviously has a very narrow definition of the challenge. Entitled to their opinion and low ball score, of course, but I think when they read "home" in the challenge description, they narrowed the challenge description (in their narrow, little mind) to mean physical house. AFAIK, there was no requirement to display walls and roof.

Seems to me there has been a change in culture at DPC. While I've only participated in 471 challenges, it used to be that challenge entries were scrutinized more for photographic criteria, rather than so much on a narrow, redefined challenge description.

I don't know how many DPCers live in the cities and how many in the country but an open mind in this challenge would help both types. Our concepts of what "home" is vary a lot, especially considering many different regions and cultures present at DPC. So open up your mind, please!!

hardly anyone is voting on the challenges it seems...I've avoided only one in the past, and that was because I didn't feel like I could do a good job on the interpretation of the challenge voting BUT I did vote for the ones that I thought clearly met the challenge (it was exactly 21%)....

I don't have a clock in the time challenge and I'm obviously getting clobbered for it.
So this time I went literal and look where it's got me
