I'm looking to join a team but I do come with some baggage:
Not sure I can enter many challenges.
Would enjoy giving/receiving advice and critique before entering challenges.
Don't care if my team wins any rounds.
Would like to have a few team members who a new to the site as team mates.
I want to be in a team who are in it for the fun, just to add a little spice to the challenges.
My main reason to join is to motivate me to enter more challenges.
So if anyone has a team or wants to put a team together that meets my expectations then PM me :)

I'm sorry that a few people are taking this poorly. I created the team for selfish purposes -- but not the one you think. I wanted to have fun, and I wanted to learn something. For the last DPL, I was teamed with Ursula, Bear_music, Yakatme, Judi, Dr_achoo, just to name a few. What a wonderful experience!
btw, that DPL team lost.
However, I learned so much, and that's why I joined the site to begin with.
I composed my team of 4 friends with whom I hadn't competed before, but thought it would be fun to team up with. And then I decided to dream, and I thought about who I would love the opportunity to learn from. I figured it doesn't hurt to ask, so I asked two people that I admire immensely.
I'm in it to have fun and to learn. And I fully intend to do both.
What an incredible shame that a few people would give up just because the don't think they can win. If I had done that, I would have missed an unbelievable DPL experience.

Incidentally #2 and #4 (Karen), while you are at #3. To me that concentrates most expertise to a very small, very selective elite group. But if I am the only one having the problem with this then there is no problem! Have fun everyone!! |

My goal for being on this team is entirely selfish as well. My hope is to give Christophe and the others some really really bad advice and convince them to make their images suck so that I can protect my ribbon count lead. Just call me timfythemole. ;)

You have to take that in context. She was responding to Margaret, who is quickly becoming a ribbon hog herself. The only reason I have achieved more ribbons than her is that she has been on DPC less than a year.

| Wow! a lot of chatter going on in this thread since I went to bed last night. All I can say is as a person with the least amount of ribbons in the group and the least amount of experience I was thrilled to have an opportunity to work with photographers I admire so much(thanks Wendy for daring to dream), many of which I have not had the opportunity to know or work with in the past. I for one don't care about winning, I'm just excited to have my work critiqued by a few of the best photographers on the site. If any of you would pass this opportunity up for the sake of fairness please raise your hand now. Because there is no way I was going to pass it up. |

I like our chances.
We've got teams that are naming themselves in a language they cannot speak, and the Drive By Shooters, which is actually an instruction to drive by someone shooting, which I don't think was their intention.
Shirley they won't be able to work cameras. |

Hell, we're all just insanely jealous. 98% (or more) of the people here have fewer ribbons than the lowest ribbon winner on your team. Go have fun! Win more! Learn lots!
The rest of us will have fun too!
Except for those who worry about winning more ribbons. :-)
P.S. My goodness, I didn't realize that Spiffy had become such the ribbon hog! Way to go, Spiffy!

Okay Scott. Here ya go.....
I took German in GRADE School, French in High school, and Spanish in college.... I won't say how long ago that was but, it's been a little while and I've forgotten a bit since then.
