I'm not sure there's any conflict at all, actually; I mean, it's not like images applying to the one side challenge are somehow ineligible for the other. But it would seem to me that we might conceivably start WPL in mid-September? Remember, half of the knockout participants leave after each round, so they'd only have 16 in at that point...

R.

It seems to me it might be better if they did overlap. Not everyone can remain active for long period of time so running them within the same time frame would help those who aren't retired or stay at home types.

75% of the knockout people are gone after the first 2 rounds. I don't see a problem if the overlap a bit. For half the people, the knockout is a one time shot.

You wouldn't be in that 75%. Looks like you've been beating your average all year.

I've used up all the luck. If you go by the DPL, I started sucking when DPL started. I have a tendency to over think and make poor choices when stressed. :)

I want to be on a team too. Since the scoring only involves the 4 highest votes (I think, if I read it right), teams could be made up of 5-6 great photographers, then a photographer like me who really wants to learn from them, but whose average is not so great.

Please pick me :-)

From Scott's post:

"No score caps or limits; teams can pick who the wish as long as the photographer they pick is willing to participate and be on the team. "

So I guess you pick your own teams.
