I thought of this too... I figured though that it may give the site a bit of a boost with the amount of submissions It may get people who have not been taking many photos lately to get up onto their feet again. |

I open to suggestions on a different start date and spreading it out a little. I do not want to interfere with another users side challenge. They have taken the time and effort to put it together for us users and I respect that. Let me know if anyone thinks it will interfere, if so we can push back the WPL till the Knockout Cchallenge is complete. Bear could you explain how you would like to see it spreed out?
I will have a link up tomorrow for people to signup so everyone can see how is interested. This will help captains (users that start a team) to pick players. I will also post a link to teams that have already formed (complete or non-complete). The first 16 teams to finalize will be able to participate.
I open to questions and suggestions.

Scott. Thank you for stepping up again. Would 9 members per team be too many? Prior DPL2 teams may want to keep the crew together.
ETA: I vote for spreading it out from the knockout challenge.

I would like to participate but I can't promise to be active until somewhere until the middle or end of Sept. as I will be traveling to Canada. I might be able to participate from Canada with the exception of one week where I won't have computer access.
If no one wants me under these conditions, then maybe I can be placed on a stand-by list in case anyone drops out.

Assuming they get 64 in the knockout challenge (and they have over 50 now) that would be 6 weeks of Sunday challenges for 6 rounds to determine a winner — which would take them to mid-October.
I'm not sure there's any conflict at all, actually; I mean, it's not like images applying to the one side challenge are somehow ineligible for the other. But it would seem to me that we might conceivably start WPL in mid-September? Remember, half of the knockout participants leave after each round, so they'd only have 16 in at that point...
