I don't think I've ever had a photo on such a roller-coaster ride. Started at 5.2222, then went into free fall until it reached 4.88. Suddenly started rising again until it reached 5.38. Then back downwards, and now, after 63 votes, I'm right back where I started at 5.2222.

I wonder if it has to do with recent changes to comments and averages. Maybe the votes are now updated in alternating batches of highest and lowest :)

1s should be only for veeery bad pictures... it's hard to see them in a free study.

Woah! With all the fiasco last night with WPL I didn't realize my FS went up by nearly .2! :) Finally a upward climb!

I had (last I checked - scores are off) a great FS score in the range many here have said they find "disappointing" for their own scores. Different perspectives, I guess!

Thanks to those playing along in the comment challenge. For those of you doing well by your own standards, I also challenge you to go give four times the number of comments you've received, but choose from those pictures you rated a 5.

From what I see (time stamp I noted the 1-vote etc...) this is a person who has written a program to pass out votes in batch or who has a seriously old pc of which only the 1 key's working fine.

I didn't give any 5's?

You have commented on 6 images (2%) in this challenge.
You have given an average score of 8.7281.
But, I suppose I could still go comment.

I have decided to vote differently from now on. The voters on here are already pretty hard so my lowest vote from now on will be a 5. Those will be the photo's that are technically aweful and completely miss the mark on the challenge intent and are not interesting in any other way. 6's will be those that meet the challenge but aren't technically great but, just okay. 7's will be Meets challenge and technically okay. And 8 9 or 10 will be given to the rest depending on my liking or how they "grab" me.

I figure the ones that are completely awefull and don't meet the challenge are aleady being scored hard enough by the majority so my one little 5 won't put them on the front page but, may bring their score up a tiny bit for encouragement.

Wow. That is admirable. If the comment I received from you is any guide, that must have been a huge task with 342 entries. With a 100% comments I would have expected a quick one or two word comment on each. The comment you left me was thoughtful and helpful. I thank you.
