I tried to use my imagination on this one, but it didn't pay off. Got to bed at 01:30 after spending hours in the dark trying to get the picture.

121st. place, still made it over 50% Just

I used one of the warnings on cigarette packs here in Ireland. Some of the voters thought I made it up.
81st place.

I was amazed yours was so low. I still want to know how you did it!

Mine suffered from... all kinds of things. Can't say I'm surprised I guess, although there was a blinding moment's realization about how dirty it could be taken. I didn't mean it THAT way!

Hi Amanda,
Thanks for the consoling comments :-)
Double click on the image, I added a little bit of further information how I made it there.

Too bad you can't somehow get a still from one of Ireland's anti-drunk-driving commercials. Those are harsh! (But effective).

BTW, my own pick broke the top 100 for the first time in a challenge, on my 3rd entry ever.

So I'm happy with that.

I thought you'd do better as well -- so, you did put the whole thing together yourself? That is, the image on the wall is not a still from a movie / television show etc?

Quite pleased with 5.518 and 63rd place, because at the start of voting it was at about 4.74. I find the early voting fits the final result less with each passing challenge.

5.693 with the most 1, 2, and 3 votes I can remember getting. I can't understand voting a 1 for anything that meets challenge requirements. I know this topic has been covered several times and sorry for bringing it up. On to the next challenge.

19th place. Very happy since it was the first time I used my new camera.
The trip to Humphrey's peak (12,633' highest point in AZ) was planned awhile ago. When the words challenge came out I wanted to do a shot similar to what I ended up with, but using a similar sign at the peak. After hiking all day I was quite mad when I got to the top and learned some bottom feeder stole the sign at the peak!

I goofed with my monitor not being calibrated correctly and paid the price!

But I'm very greatfull for the comments that helped me to discover it!

Here is a very interesting statistic.
Last 5 places had a total of 198 comments of those only 6 have been marked as helpfull!

Now we wonder why its hard to encorage people to comment. I would have thought that 198 comments on the lowest placing photos would be considered a great response! Even if it is like the one I received "To dark can't see any words" That told me there was a problem and to go find the answer!

Congratulations to all the winners and everyone who participated it was a great challenge with some fantastic photos!

82nd right behind xion. Oh well. Best finish of 5 challenges though at 68%! I'll get up there.

I finished 129th with a shot that was similar in some ways to the OP's picture, which finished 79th. When there are two entries that are so similar, I never quite understand how one is rated so differently from another!

Anyway, I thought I'd finish higher because I thought my title was clever, ("The"), the shot generated viewer interest (at least, the commenters said so,), and because it seemed technically pretty good (not great, but good).

But, I finished 129th. I"ve been in a bit of challenge rut, but maybe my luck's changing. My entry in Chocolate is doing (for me) quite well. <>

I got 4.299 (209 / 253) on mine, and I was shocked to see 15 ones! I guess there are alot of people who have no idea what sign language is, but I'd like to see a comment if you're going to score a picture that low, especially since it was in focus and composed.

Yep, I did it all myself. In fact, the scary guy on the wall is me. Here is the source image that was projected on the wall...I should have shown all of the text.
