Colloquial Cliches:
OK it's open season for this easy topic...colloquial cliches. Imaginative takes on everyday sayings or portions thereof for your choice. Could be some unusual cultural or local versions to spice things up. Typical examples along the lines of - Caught with his pants down - Raining cats & dogs- Three sheets to the wind- Penny for your thoughts- In your dreams-Rise to the occasion-Bird in the bush =2 in the hand, etc. You could even do something along the lines of Aesop's Fables. Lots of variation available for this one.

Homonym Pair:
Admittedly a more challenging visual arena. Photograph a pair of words that sound the same but have different meaning. Talk about your daring duo. For example - bough/bow - cot/caught - bored/board -red/read - pray/prey - paws/pause. I think that non-English pairs would be fair game, too (perhaps phonetics in brackets?).

Contrast:
Another easy grab challenge. It doesn't have to be a shocker colour contrast. Very cool metaphors or psycological twists would be worthy of attention. Could be a mixed shot of moods, physical states, social condition, wry paradox, etc . Ample latitude for those who scheme around tabletop studios as well as the street photog.

Just a few basic ideas that anyone else is welcome to hone to a practical worthwhile fun challenge. Go for it.

cot/caught? Around here (in the Southern US), I believe that would be /kot/ and /kawt/. :-)

I like these ideas, btw!
