You know what S&H green stamps are were.

You folded a news paper into a square the size of an iPad so you could read it on a crowded bus.

Your sweetie says, "Let's go upstairs and make love," and you answer, "Pick one, I can't do both!"

When the first computer you used had a whopping 1KB of memory (not a mistype!) and you could still play games on it!

The first computer I ever used had no memory, everything was on those giant disks! LOL! This was at a cell/car phone company. The phones were huge and came in suitcases.

You are in the movie theater watching "Tron - Legacy 3D" with your kids, and your child leans over to whisper...

"Mom, what's a PAGER?!"

I'll never forget...my husband and I were looking to add some memory to our computer and my mother perked up (she had
Alzheimer's by that time) and said "can I buy some of that memory for me too"...

...you remember going to McDonald's as a "special" trip that might occur two times a month! And there was no happy meal, because you were happy just to get to go to McDonald's!!!

I am with ja-9 13 reasons why kids are spoilt.
Only ours was an Orac something or other, then along came the commador 64 then the Sinclair spectrum 128 bit which took a lifetime to load games and most of the time it went wrong so you had to start over and you could hear the game loading with some horrid noise and you had to fast forward through the tape to find the game you wanted and it was the end of the world when the tape got chewed up.
Also, there were no mobiles so people had to talk to each other when sitting and waiting for something instead of playing games on their phone.

We were kicked out the door first thing and told to be back at lunch time, if we were late we got the belt or slipper, then kicked back out again to climb trees, make camps, play with bugs, make mud cakes, hell we even tried to make perfume with rose petals and water.

Edit:We had to save up our pocket money and pay to wait a week or two for the film to be processed before we could see our photos.

But back to the thread topic...
You know you are getting old when you say...
"You kids these days dont know how lucky they are, back we I was a kid we didnt have..."

When your nephew asks you what flash games you used play on the internet when you were his age, and you respond to tell him the internet wasn't around. And then he asks you what DVDs you used watch when you were a kid, and you also explain they weren't around. And the he says he doesn't believe you.

One day at work a wicked storm was about to blow in and a co-worker got my attention from across the parking lot and made a hand motion of manually "rolling up" a car window to alert me that I had my windows down slightly for cooling and they needed to be closed. It hit me that most kids nowadays would not have any idea what message was being conveyed!

You go to a wedding and they have you dance until they call the number of years you have been married before you can sit down and you lose to the couples married over 50 years

This is kind of in reverse: About fifteen years ago, some childhood friends of my parents came for a visit while I was in the house. They are very well-to-do and always had expensive cars and so on. They flew up from Melbourne and hired a car and drove a couple of hours. When they got to my parents' house, they complained they couldn't find the button to put the windows down. I thought that was strange, so when they were leaving I had a look and showed them the winder handles on the doors. "Look, you just turn them like this," I said.

I'm not old, but I think a good one would be actually knowing someone's phone number! When I was younger, I used to know all my family member's phone numbers off the top of my head, as well as most of my friends (if not all), now, most people barely know their own phone number! (no joke here, I've had people go through their phone to find their number)

You were not allowed to see The Exorcist, The Omen, or The Blue Lagoon when they came out.

and

"All skaters, change directions" means something to you.

You get someone who is really in a bad mood (after being late home and having a barney with the hubby) make you feel old by telling you that some of the great films we watched and loved as youngsters such as The Lost Boys, Ghost Busters, Ferris Bueller, The Naked Gun and so on are all from the 80's which makes them over 20 years old.
Yes it is 25 years since we watched Tom Cruise fly in Top Gun and 26 years since we were introduced to The Breakfast Club.

And...

You know you are getting old when they do remakes of some of the classics thats we were brought up on such as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Karate Kid, The Italian Job, Planet Of The Apes, etc...AND you then go on to say "it's not as good as the original"
