With the start of the 98th Tour de France this weekend, my challenge suggestion would be to photograph anything related to the Tour De France, examples of such could be a bag of food = Musette or a Group = Peloton. I'm sure there are a million and one ways to meet this challenge from the obvious cyclist to the depths of the races history.

For all those who have no clue about the Tour De France the following links may assist.

All them shaven legs will be speeding through my local town on the 12th, the whole place is closed to traffic for the day.

I'm sure the race passing through is a pain if you need to travel anywhere but think of all those freebies from the publicity caravan.

If this one goes ahead im tipping you for the yellow jersey.

If I had the money and the time, I'd be asking if you had spare sleeping space in a corner somewhere. I am insanely envious!!!

Tour de France?? Isn't that a bike race?

So, the first Australian winner of Le Tour! Having followed Cadel Evans' career since he was junior MTB'er, it was a buzz to see him win. I've been an obsessive fan of the Tour de France since being introduced to it by an Italian teacher in '81 - the year that Phil Anderson became the first non-European to hold the yellow jersey. Back then, very few Australians had even heard of the Tour de France. It's been interesting to watch the rise of the race (and road cycling in general) as an international sport since those days.

Now it's all over, I can at least catch up on some lost sleep...

It was a great race this year. Glad to see Cadel win. Now what to do with all this free time now that its not on TV anymore??

Yeah The Aussies.

It was a treat to watch, and the scenery was awesome as well !

Glad to see Cadel win also. Happy for the Schleck brothers also. There was some good racing at the end. Plus like Neat said, the scenery was awesome.

I have withdrawals every year when it is over.
