Q What is the maximum picture size I can use?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A The Portrait Professional Studio 64 software does not have a practical limit on picture size.

However the other editions of Portrait Professional are 32 bits, and for them the maximum that can be handled is 30 megapixels. The maximum size depends on the number of pixels in the image and not at all on the size of the file when stored on a disk. This is because the picture needs to be decoded into memory and then processed by Portrait Professional at that size in memory. For example if you have a picture that is 7000 pixels wide and 4000 pixels high, then this is 7000x4000 pixels which is 28 million pixels, i.e. 28 megapixels.

I know, right?

Maybe I'll even consider a self portrait now! But I am not sure the sliders go far enough to the right. I need the Spinal Tap version, where they all go to 11.... :D

Thanks Chuck!

I used TheBaumPhotos: : IBMS-MYIC-FGJC-RTPJ ???

when I purchased. I'm not sure who used mine though...unless it was mundilitli who said he used vawendy's code (which perhaps was a quote of my message)

Yeah, I already marked yours as used... I think he saw vawendy's post quoting your code.

I will update the list.

Just did a quick a dirty using mainly the presets with a bit of tweak on a jpg file a friend gave me of her daughter and asked me to print for her. Pretty powerful stuff but I can see I will ahve to work with it a bit to get it right.

Actually, it was correct. I posted the codes given to you when you purchased (for others to use), not the code you used (which was nova's code) at the time of the puchase.

Well, I purchased the regular version, then returned it and purchased the Studio version so I could do RAWs--the newer code, which I posted later, got lost in the confusing mix of posts. So you were correct, and posted the first code, and then I changed up, so that code was likely outdated, possiblyi invalid since I cancelled that purchase. The confusion was all my doing. The code in this post should be valid, as it corresponds to the final, complete purchase I made, and is the one they emailed to me, not the one I used for the purchase. I think I still used Nova's original code for the second purchase.

Looks like the sale price is still available, so here is the most recent update on coupon codes ("?" indicates it's not clear if it has been used yet). Please post whose code you use so we can update accurately.

It was marked used in the list posted/reposted by ray_mefarso in a post above, though I could be wrong.

I feel exactly the same way- Everybody looks sort of like a porn star. Are freckles that bad that they have to be photoshopped out? Perhaps this is whats wrong with society- making everybody feel bad unless they look like the cover of vogue.

You're not the only one. The examples on their site are very creepy.

I agree that their examples are overdone which is why I had hesitated so long to get it. But the default first pass is pretty mild, and it is all under your control. different people want different degrees of this. Plus, sometimes the dramatic lighting that emphasizes terrific features will also bring out and emphasize other things, making them appear more significant than they really are. And a still image allows time for a viewer to notice things that would never be seen in person.

Its a bit like the line from the original Arthur film:

"in the right light, she is really quite beautiful...... Of course, you can't count on that light..."
