They hatched a few days ago. Mother-bird has been taking very good care of them. We had a bit of a typhoon in these parts which made looking for food difficult. My wife put together a MacGyver like umbrella/shelter thingy to keep as much wind and rain out.

You're right, they are ugly! Good pics though.

Yep only a mother could love them.

I would never have known those were pigeons. Keep shooting. I'd love to see how quickly they develop.

Baby birds have to be the ugliest thing on the face of the planet! I'm looking forward to the mom feeding babies shots... :D

Are you sure they're not Dodos?

So that's what a baby pigeon looks like! LOL! I thought they hatched full grown (kidding of course).

Pigeons are so successfull because they leave the nest only when they are nearly fully grown.

Each DPC photo has an image ID that is found at the end of the url address in your browser when viewing the image page. Copy the numbers only. So for instance in the address bar of the browser the url address of your hummingbird photo ends in "IMAGE_ID=955688". Copy only the photo number...in this case it's 955688.

Now when you're trying to post a photo link to a thread click on the second icon in from the Right in the above message bar which should read when hovered over "Insert Thumbnail Link to Site Image". When you click on that icon a box appears and asks you to input the image ID. In this case you can type in or paste the "955688" from your hummingbird photo, click ok, and it will look like this:
